Belly at Large: Cambodian Kittens

Hi everyone,<br /><br />Dao's here, not Belly. Being a Crazy Cat Lady (CCL) without a cat is hard. I miss my Belly. I miss his fuzzy face, his smart-alec meows, his passion for turkey, and his constant bugging me for head and tummy rubs. Yes, I miss his good, bad, and ugly. He's a quarterback-size tabby kitty.</td></tr></tbody></table>Belly is very special and as much as I tried to replenish my longing to him, I failed. He is <i>the one</i> kitty that touched my heart. When I visited Cambodia, I saw a litter of kittens on the boat and my heart melted. But I swear the moment he started licking his paws, I only thought of Belly. However, Belly only did it to warn me. Belly at Large: Kitty Cousins

Hi everybody,<br /><br />Since coming back to Vietnam, I miss my cat Belly dearly. To pacify my needs to hug him and call him with an assortment of nicknames, I have taken pictures of cats whenever I can. During my last trip to Ca Mau, I met this kitty at my relative's place. The cat doesn't have a name. He's just a cat.<br /><br />At first, when he saw me, this cat ran away. He was a fast runner, too. However, the power of persuasion via the camera was a force to be reckoned. That's a fully grown Vietnamese cat. Over here, a cat is considered big if he/she is around 8 lbs. Belly the American cat weighs around 20! The Cat didn't meow at all and his fur pattern is interesting: white and stripped at the same time. Actually, two of them currently live in the attic and they make awful lot of noises. Somehow, they managed to dig a hole in the wall. The material fell down while my dad was tying his shoes underneath. Luckily, he was sitting a couple of inches away from the wall. Otherwise, it could have been a nasty accident.<br /><br />One interesting detail: cats in Vietnam meow differently than cats in the U.S. Maybe I was used to Belly's Southern meowing twang but his sounds are a lot softer and gentler. Cats over here just meow as if their lives depend on it.<br /><br />So yes, Belly now has some kitty cousins. I wonder if they could understand each other. Belly at Large: How It All Began

Hi everyone,<br /><br />A couple of days ago, I went through my photo albums in my laptop and realized Belly has been in my life two years. The first pictures I had of him was taken in March 2nd, 2009. It took me more than a year to persuade him to <a href="http://mymakeupblog.blogspot.com/2010/02/belly-at-large-change-your-lash-curler.html">blog here</a>. Since then, the Home Kitty has been globally recognized as one of the top felines in the beauty and lifestyle blog world. It's just a tip of the iceberg as Belly the cat is extremely talented. The only things he lacks are opposable thumbs, which makes it difficult for him to type. But he recently acquired the Dragon Naturally Speaking software for cats and he is going to post more in the future.<br /><br />For those who are not familiar of Belly's upbringing, the story is <a href="http://mymakeupblog.blogspot.com/2010/02/im-back.html">here</a>. A stripped brown tabby cat was sunning on top of one of my neighbors' cars. He did not give me any attention but after I saw him, I realized this cat has some cool factor in him. I called out, "Hey, kitty, kitty!"<br /><br />He jumped down from the roof and walked over to me. His strides were full of swagger.<br /><br />More about Belly ahead. He was shy at first but upon realizing that I would not catnap him, he warmed up to me. I realized he was hungry so I went home and got a piece of bread. I spread some butter on top and brought it outside to the Home Kitty. I think the whole story was based on my young life as a kitten. After all, I'm so fierce and handsome. The woman wanted my opinion, for Heaven's sake!<br /><br />Normally, I don't do this kind of thing. I am a cat, not a consultant. And I <3 la Britney. But as a cat, I'm also curious. It's my nature and I can't ignore new things. So I went online and took a look at the vid. If you haven't watched it already, I embedded it for you. See, humans, I do love you and I do care about you. "Baby One More Time" still puts a bounce in my steps. I've browsed Twitter extensively for the last 24 hours and there are mixed reviews of "Hold It Against Me." It's hard to hate la Brit-Brit. She's so pretty and precious at the same time. I almost forgot The Dark Age, aka the Blackout album. Belly at Large: Missing My Bel-Bel

Hi everybody,<br /><br />This week, I'm blogging on behalf of Belly. Home kitty is too emo to send me a post. I called my neighbor last week and got a chance to talk to Belly, who was so excited to hear my voice that he licked the phone. I miss that fuzzy face and his morning breath when he tried to wake me up so early in the morning. Belly is such a dear to me and I just want to squeeze him up.<br /><br />Before I left, we did an impromptu photo session.
